Follow the steps to write a successful and effective essay.
Use supporting evidence to support the claim
Factual statements will always be more effective than mere opinion. Look for information that provides solid evidence as to why your position is "correct." Then list facts that will support your position.
You can also add a human aspect to the argument.
Against: "The recent price increase has already led to a drop in the number of guests."
For: "Some of my friends are uplifted by the possibility of dining at a restaurant because they don't have to worry about coming up with a new menu every day.
Watch your tone
"Many low-income families simply don't have the resources to eat at a restaurant that could meet general whims."
This statement is sour-sounding. This language only weakens the argument. This may be sufficient:
"Many low-income families simply don't have the resources to eat at restaurants many times."
Against : "While I agree that the regulation is trying to prevent problems that are ruining an uplifting experience, I think the health effects of certain procedures are a cause for greater concern."
For : "While it may be a concern that eating in a restaurant can have some health effects, increased controls are reassuring for everyone these days."
Considering the eating in a restaurant:
Against: “Eating out can be a pleasant thing, but for many people it can be an experience full of surprises. We often have to pay attention to certain things when we eat at a restaurant.”
For: “Eating out is a very pleasant experience. Having dinner with a friend, having a romantic dinner on a date, or celebrating some special event at a restaurant with a party are all things we love to do
