použití

• Právě probíhajících dějů – něčeho, co se děje v okamžiku mluvení
• Pozvolné změny stavu
• Dočasných situací – něčeho, co se děje jen na určitou dobu.
• Plánů do blízké budoucnosti – činností, které jsou naplánovány a uskuteční se brzy.

PRESENT tense

použití:

• pravidelně se opakující děje
• fakta, skutečnosti
• sled událostí (povídka, pracovní postup, sportovní komentář)
• jízdný žády, časové plány
