Discussion methods - are characterized by the activity of all, or at least most, participants who focus on the topic and show interest in it.

Frontal teaching

Comprehensive methods

Comprehensive methods include more of the above mentioned aspects and also include the external organisation and organisation of educational conditions. This group also includes such methods, which some experts classify as teaching forms. Let's name at least some of the complex methods. These include, for example, frontal, group and cooperative teaching, as well as individual and individualised teaching, independent work of pupils or partner teaching. Some authors include in this group methods applicable in various educational areas and continuous with the principle of thought processes such as critical thinking, brainstorming or writestorming. It is also worth mentioning the use of project teaching, drama teaching (role playing), learning in life situations, computer supported teaching or superlearning.

Verbal methods are essential in the educational process. All other methods complement or accompany their application. However, they should not become fundamentally predominant methods.

Heuristic methods

Heuristic methods, problem solving - it is about asking problem questions and showing various contradictions and problems we strongly motivate pupils and support the acquisition of knowledge and skills.

Individual and individualised teaching

Demonstration methods - the basis of these methods is visual presentation/demonstration and observation (e.g. work with image, film, instruction).

Situational methods

Situational methods - are mainly used in adult education.

Skill-practical methods

Skill-practical methods are directly based on the objective of education, which is primarily to prepare for real life. This includes e.g. imitation, experiment, production methods.

Didactic games

Didactic games are a method that should retain its essence, i.e. most of the features of playful activities. Recipients are to be directed and oriented towards the goal by the game without realizing it. The method is also to contribute to the development of the pupil's social, cognitive, creative, physical, free and aesthetic competences.
