It is a type of transport that uses roads.
involves the use uf motor vehicles : cars/trucks
most popular mode of transportation
Devided into two categories: goods and people
Ekology in Road transport
- contributes greatly to greenhouse gas emissions

long- term goal is to achieve climate neutrality

Advantages

all kinds of goods can be transported by road
flexibility and door to door services
cost- effectiveness over short distances

Disadvantage

Traffic congestions
pollutions ( znečištění )
many accidents

oversize Cargo - exceed (přesahuje) standard or legal size or weight
live animals - it must be followed many rules to be able trasport animals

Maritime transport

Transportation by sea and ocean
its important for international trade
ships that movd across the ocean are for example container ships, ships for bulk substance tankers and Ro-Ro
- container ships are for standardized Cargo containers ( large capacity )
- bulk transport Cargo without packaging
- tankers can trasport liquid including chemicals and gas
- Ro-Ro are designed for vehicles and mobile Cargo ( they have their OSN ramps)

Is also efficent for transporting large volumes
for over long distances

COTIF is administrated by OTIF ( organization )
Advantages are : cost effective, enviromentally friendly, low fuel consuption
disadvantage : low flexibility for door to door, slower speed
